What Is It?
The HCN HN14 Log Grapple Fork is a excavator buckets & grapples designed for installation on Excavators. It is manufactured at HCN Attachments' ISO 9001:2015-certified facility in Xuzhou, China, and supplied to contractors, rental fleets, OEM partners, and equipment distributors in more than 60 countries. When sourcing excavator bucket, rock bucket, excavator grapple, hardox bucket, sorting grapple, digging bucket, demolition grapple, custom excavator bucket for export or fleet replacement, verify carrier weight class, hydraulic output, and mounting interface before order confirmation — HCN provides free compatibility checks on request.
HCN excavator buckets, rock grapples, sorting grapples, and demolition equipment are precision-fabricated from Hardox wear steel — from standard digging buckets and heavy-duty rock buckets to tilt-rotate buckets and multi-tine sorting grapples. Available in custom widths, capacities, and tooth systems for all major excavator brands from 1-tonne mini-excavators to 100-tonne mining machines.
Available model designations: HN1403. Specification values in the table below apply to the listed model range. If your carrier falls outside the published weight class, contact HCN engineering with the machine make, model, operating weight, and pin-to-pin dimensions — custom bracket fabrication is typically available within 15–30 working days.
HCN HN14 Log Grapple Fork units leave factory with CE conformity documentation, operator manual, and QC records. Standard in-stock configurations ship within 7–15 working days; custom specifications require 15–30 working days. Export terms are quoted FOB Qingdao or Shanghai unless otherwise agreed. Submit an RFQ with your machine model, working conditions, and destination country for pricing, lead time, and bracket fit confirmation.

Applications
The HN14 Log Grapple Fork is specified on the following project types. Each application below reflects real field use — not generic marketing claims.
Mass earthmoving and site cut-and-fill
On this type of project, the HN14 Log Grapple Fork reduces cycle time compared with manual methods by allowing the operator to work from the carrier cab. Mass earthmoving and site cut-and-fill on residential, commercial, and civil construction projects
Hard rock excavation
On this type of project, the HN14 Log Grapple Fork reduces cycle time compared with manual methods by allowing the operator to work from the carrier cab. Hard rock excavation in quarries, open-pit mines, and tunnel face excavation
Sorting and loading recycled demolition material, scrap metal, and mixed debris
On this type of project, the HN14 Log Grapple Fork reduces cycle time compared with manual methods by allowing the operator to work from the carrier cab. Sorting and loading recycled demolition material, scrap metal, and mixed debris at processing sites
River dredging, ditch cleaning, and slope grading
On this type of project, the HN14 Log Grapple Fork reduces cycle time compared with manual methods by allowing the operator to work from the carrier cab. River dredging, ditch cleaning, and slope grading for drainage and land development works
Timber and log handling
On this type of project, the HN14 Log Grapple Fork reduces cycle time compared with manual methods by allowing the operator to work from the carrier cab. Timber and log handling at forestry operations and sawmills using rotating grapples
How to Read the Specifications
When reviewing Excavator Buckets & Grapples for a purchase decision, these parameters determine whether the unit will perform on your site:
- Bucket Capacity (m³ / yd³)
- HCN rock buckets use struck capacity (SAE J296); mud and general-purpose buckets use heaped capacity. Choosing the correct capacity prevents machine overloading — our engineers calculate optimal capacity based on material density and carrier's rated breakout force.
- Wear Material (Hardox grade)
- Hardox 400 (400 Brinell hardness) is standard for general digging in soil, sand, and gravel. Hardox 500 (500 HBW) is recommended for abrasive rock, quarry, and high-wear demolition applications. Hardox outlasts structural steel (S355) by 2–3× in abrasive conditions.
- Bucket Width (mm)
- Custom widths from 400 mm to 3,000 mm. Width affects trench fit, compaction width, and carrier stability. Standard widths typically ship in 15–20 working days; custom widths require 20–30 days.
- Cutting Edge Thickness (mm)
- Thicker cutting edges last longer in rock and abrasive conditions. HCN uses 30–60 mm Hardox or AR-grade cutting edges depending on the application. Edges are bolt-on and fully replaceable.
- Tooth System (GET)
- Ground Engaging Tools (GET) system determines tooth profile and adapter compatibility. HCN uses adapters compatible with Cat J-Series, Komatsu PC-Series, and ESCO Ultralok — allowing customers to use existing tooth stocks on new buckets.
