Hardox is a wear-resistant steel manufactured by SSAB Sweden, with hardness values from 400–600 Brinell (HBW). Buckets made from Hardox last 2–3× longer than buckets made from ordinary structural steel (S355 or Q345) when digging rock, gravel, or demolition debris. HCN uses Hardox 400 as standard across all product lines, and Hardox 500 for extreme-wear rock bucket and quarry applications.
