How to Select a Hydraulic Breaker for Your Excavator Class

admin

Export buyers specifying hydraulic breakers must align tool energy with carrier weight, auxiliary flow and pin geometry — the same criteria HCN uses when engineering breaker models for global OEM programs.

Carrier weight and hydraulic capacity

Confirm operating pressure, flow rate (L/min) and relief valve settings from the excavator datasheet. Under-sized flow limits impact energy; excessive flow without correct tuning damages seals and tool bushings.

Tool diameter and application

Mixed concrete and medium rock typically use a chisel or moil point. Trenching and asphalt may need a blunt tool. Request tool steel grade, heat-treatment records and bushing replacement intervals — these drive total cost of ownership.

Mounting interface

Side-pin, box-type and dedicated bracket mounts are not interchangeable. Provide pin centre distance, diameter and bracket width with your RFQ. HCN cross-references Bobcat, CASE, Komatsu, Caterpillar and Hyundai carriers daily.

Compliance for export

EU-bound demolition contracts increasingly reference noise and vibration limits. Confirm CE conformity, user manual language and serial traceability before shipment.
